Range Rovers have a reputation, and it is only half deserved. These are dense, heavily engineered vehicles with air suspension, complex electrical architecture and a lot of systems talking to each other. Serviced attentively, they last. Serviced reactively — waiting for a warning message before anyone looks at anything — they get expensive quickly, and that is where the reputation comes from.

“Suspension fault” on the dash, or the truck sitting visibly low in the morning, is the single most common reason a Range Rover arrives here. It is also the repair most likely to be quoted wrong, because the fast answer is to replace everything in the system and the accurate answer requires actually testing it.
An air system has several parts that can produce the same symptom: a leaking air spring, a compressor that no longer builds pressure efficiently, a valve block, a ride-height sensor, or wiring reporting a fault that isn't mechanical at all. We test to find which one, and we tell you if others are close behind so you can decide whether to address them together. That conversation is worth having up front — occasionally the sensible answer is doing more at once, and occasionally it is doing considerably less than you were quoted elsewhere.

Inspection is the lever here. Twice a year, someone should be looking at fluid condition, leaks, suspension components, cooling system health and brake wear on a vehicle of this complexity — not because something is wrong, but so you find out while it is still inexpensive.
